Care Guidelines
ACRYLIC CARE
All acrylic products are absolutely, odorless and BPA free. Please follow these care instructions and you will enjoy your acrylic glass and tableware for a long time.
- Hand wash is highly recommended (temperature resistant from -10°C to 50°C)
- Use a gentle dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth
- Do not use benzene, alcohol, ethers or organic solvents for cleaning
- Not suitable for microwave
- Alcohol resistant no more than 2 hours, not suitable for strong alcohol like whisky etc.
The following may discolour the products or make them cloudy in the long run:
- Keeping the glasses for a prolonged period of time at high temperatures and high humidity
- Incorrect dosage of detergent
- Use of detergent containing aluminum or metal protection
- Dairy products, coffee, cocoa, tea, and other beverages may leave a rim on the glass if you leave it overnight. Wash the glass in warm soapy water shortly after use.
- Use of anise-based drinks (such as Pernod, Ricard, Raki or Ouzo)
CERAMIC CARE
Ceramics can be safely cleaned by using a soft bristle brush to remove loose surface dirt. It is not recommended to use a cloth as it may snag on the fragile glazed surface. For more stubborn dirt, washing with tap water is acceptable, but distilled or de-ionised water is preferable.
- Water temperature should be lukewarm or cooler.
- Do not use detergents.
- Ceramics should only be allowed to dry naturally, so do not use heat to reduce drying time.
- Washing glazed ceramics is usually a straightforward procedure.
- Before washing the item make sure that the glaze is not flaking off and that any painted designs are not unstable.
Do not try to clean the item with bleach or acid formulations often recommended in many "how-to" manuals. A stain on a ceramic item may be noticeable, but not harmful. Trying to dissolve the stain may dissolve parts of the artefact. Professional ceramics experts will never try to remove stains at the risk of damaging the item.
FABRIC CARE
All garments are made using a 50% Silk 50% Cotton fabric blend:
- Machine wash at 30°C
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not use bleach
METAL CARE
Metal homeware items are not suitable for food service and need to be handled with care. If hand washing, dry well immediately. Products have been coated with a film to prevent tarnishing in the short term. Brass and alloys are soft metals, which may be scratched or dented. The surface finishes can also be easily damaged with inappropriate or excessive cleaning. When it comes to cleaning metals, less is more. Work on a padded surface, such as newspaper or cardboard to remove dirt and dust by using a sable brushes or a dry, lint-free cloth to prevent scratching.
Do not put in the dishwasher.
RESIN CARE
All our resin homeware is suitable for cold food presentation only. These products should be hand washed in warm water. Resin may appear “frosted” after washing and should be rubbed with a drop of cooking oil to restore sheen. All resin items are strong and durable but should be treated like ceramics as they can break if dropped or knocked against a hard surface.
Resin is not fire resistant and so should not be used in an oven, a microwave or dishwasher.
WOOD CARE
Our wooden homeware has been treated with a food-safe oil making them suitable for cold and warm food presentation.
- Use a mild soap and warm water to clean the serving surfaces of the wood bowl.
- Always dry bowl thoroughly after cleaning.
- Be careful not to submerge the painted part of the bowl or server in water as it may cause cracking or flaking.
- For bowls that are used regularly it is recommended to rub a little food-safe oil such as walnut or grape seed oil into the grain to restore the lustre.
Never put wooden bowls or servers in the dishwasher or let it soak in water, as it will cause them to warp and crack.
